چکیده
In this work, hybridization of nonmetal nitrogen-doped carbon dots (NCQDs) with ZnO nanorods (NRs) is utilized towards better photocatalytic degradation rhodamine B under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. The structural characterization confirmed by XRD, XPS, FTIR and HRTEM measurements, while, optical properties have been investigated using UV-visible absorbance spectroscopy photoluminescence study. dye NR recorded as ~69%, while the performance ZnO/NCQD climbs up to ~90%, after nine minutes UV Furthermore, reusability test suggests stability than bare photocorrosion. cyclic voltammetry study confirms that photoinduced electron-hole pairs originate from heterojunction established between interfaces NCQD ZnO. An insight on excellence system drawn density functional theory This indicates appropriate band alignment heterostructure constituents key factor in experimental attempt environment remedy.

ZnO/SiO2 was prepared using sol-gel method, and vanadium particles were loaded on this nano-photocatalyst by wet incipient method. They characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive (EDX) analysis andFouriertransform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The XRD patterns showed that the zinc oxide samples have a wurtzite structure and vanadium dope...
متن کاملSemiconductor Supported Gold Nanoparticles for Photodegradation of Rhodamine B
Rhodamine B (RB) is a toxic dye used extensively in textile industry, which must be remediated before its drainage to environment. In the present study, supported gold nanoparticles on commercially available titania and zincite were successfully prepared and then their activity on the photodegradation of RB under UV A light irradiation were evaluated. The synthesized photocatalysts were charact...
متن کاملA combined experimental and theoretical study
In this Letter the interaction of Li atoms with terrace sites of MgO(0 0 1) surfaces is characterized by combining EPR spectroscopy with theoretical calculations. The Li atoms adsorbed to MgO terrace sites show a reduction of the isotropic hyperfine coupling constant by approximately 50% with respect to Li atoms in the gas phase. In combination with theoretical calculations it can be shown that...
